Adult Education: The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) have historically affirmed and encouraged the study of the Scriptures as well as spiritual disciplines. While short-term opportunities at CCC often take place spontaneously, there are several opportunities for adult education at this time:

“Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” – Simon Peter
On June 6, we will begin a six week study based on John Ortberg’s book, “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat.” We will be using John Ortberg’s Participation Guide in class along with video and group discussion on conquering our fears and facing our challenges. All that is required is the Participation Guide and your bible. The cost of the guide is $10.00. The study will be on Sunday mornings at 10:00am and each session will last approximately one hour.
The sessions will include:
1. What’s Water Walking? - June 6
2. The Tragedy of the Unopened Gift - June 13
3. Find Your Calling and Get Your Feet Wet! - June 20
4. Facing Our Challenges, Conquering Our Fears - June 27
5. Good News for Cave Dwellers - July 4
6. Learning to Wait on Our Big God - July 11
We do need to know how many plan to attend so we can place the order for the guides, so please call Brad Edwards at 573-480-0071 to put your name on the list.
I invite you to consider the incredible amount of potential that awaits you all outside of your comfort zone. Come on – let’s step out of the boat together.
